Lake County Dragon

The Lake County Dragon, called the Monster of Blue Lakes is in Lake County. Tales of the monster are different from person to person. It is also called the devil fish. Some think the animal is sometimes thought to be an oversized catfish. However early lore and depictions are of a dragon

It is said that the ground beneath Blue Lakes is so deep that it connects with other underwater tunnels and even the ocean. In fact, some people have even reported sightings in Clear Lake which is a large nearby lake. Interestingly, some people have said that they have gotten it on camera but the images I have seen are indecisive.

The Blue Lakes are east of Ukiah. It is said to be a "dragon-like creature, 20 feet long" which was reported in 1870, 1871 and 1872. In 1872 members of the local Pomo tribe saw the "dragon" and gathered at Temescal, at Quercus Ranch to conduct a Misha Dance in expecation of a terrible calamity. It is said to appear once a "century" and its appearance is said to signify dire news.

in 1872 the 'Monster of Blue Lakes' or also known as the 'Devil Fish' is sighted and in response the native Americans gather at temescal at Quercus Ranch to await an expected calamity (the Misha Dance). http://www.orgsites.com/ca/johnwaynepizzapubclub/_pgg8.php3
