"Thunderbird" Sighting

Bat wing cryptid with pterodactyl like head (did not percieve tail) pointed crest on back of head like pterodactyl gliding 12 ft above road by Riego Road in Sacramento. Nose to rump body 4 ft long. 1:24 am today. Clearly seen in headlights.
Sometimes called dragons, thunderbirds, modern dinosaurs, modern pterodactyls, modern or ropen. In California, they are most often sighted in Northern California near Sacramento. Southern California by LA. These kinds of creatures are spotted worldwide and have a variety of names and terms. Please note, they are not dinosaurs, pterodactyls or pteronodons despite anyone calling them that.

Description: Modern Pterodactyl or Ropen/Thunderbird sighting. Near Sacramento. I (Stephanie Small) was in the car. 12/16/2018. Night. Batlike wing cryptid with pterodactyl like head (did not percieve tail) pointed crest on back of head like pterodactyl gliding 12 ft above road by Riego Road in Sacramento. Nose to rump body 4 ft long.

Describe what it was doing/behavior/eating: Flying across highway (across both lanes), Clearly seen in headlights.
Was there a visible tail? No
Were there feathers or fur? No
Location: Riego Road in Sacramento
Local enviroment: Marshes? Lots of water birds in the area

Description: it was dark. Maybe even black or dark grey and browns. It had a Wing span as wide as the car if not wider. Wings were huge. Full spread swoop.
Time of day/night: it was btwn 2-3am
Describe what it was doing/behavior/eating- it was flying
Was there a visible tail?- no
Were there feathers or fur?- unknown. Feel like it was smooth.
Location. Btwn Las Vegas and Lancaster on pear blossom highway.
Local enviroment- high desert
Did it fly and how? Yes flying. Swooping. Came out of nowhere and left just as quick.
"I wish I had taken a picture of the one that swooped down on us in the middle of the desert btwn Vegas and Lancaster. It was super crazy. Came right up into our windshield. Almost hit it and gone just as quick. The wing span was huge as we were covered like a blanket from the darkness of its wings. I felt it’s energy and drive faster."
